Below are some pictures I took from my trip to St. Andrews University and Edinburgh from November. These are a bit delayed, but better late than never! I really recommend the Sandeman tour and climbing up Arthur's Peak (will have to get some pictures of this later). The Sandeman pub crawl was fun until we got to the last part, this bizarre Euro-trashy club with terrible music. So skip that one. Make sure to try haggis and be bold because the vegetarian kind does not measure up to the original :)

Happy New Year

Happy (belated) New Year everyone! I've been totally MIA because I was finishing up school in London and then I was in China, where blogging is not allowed :(

Steak Marinade

I made a really yummy steak marinade the other night with all the sauces in my cupboard. I had no idea mixing everything would go so well, but it really did!

I based the marinade off of this recipe from food network but nixed the chili peppers and lemongrass- I just used lemon juice instead.

The mixture included a table spoon on soy sauce, a tsp of lemon juice, a tsp of cooking red wine, a little bit of white wine vinegar, a tiny drop of oyster sauce, salt, pepper, sauteed garlic and onions. Voila!

Ate the steak with Asian-style scrambled eggs, tomatoes and peas, and some brown rice.
