Kung Fu Tea

images courtesy of http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kung-Fu-Tea/

I visited Kung Fu Tea for the first time in Flushing about a month ago and loved their bubble milk green tea. I was sad that they were in Flushing because it is so far from me. But last night, to my surprise, my friend Priscilla walked me down from St. Marks onto 2nd avenue to a Kung Fu Tea store.

I am SO delighted! Not only is the tea really good, but you can choose a variety of teas such as jasmine, green, black, and you can choose the percentage of sugar you want from 0%, 30%, 50%, 70% to 100%. I chose 50% for my milk green tea and it was the perfect amount of sweet along with the boba. The ability to chose the amount of sugar you want is the reason why I would rather go to this store than other boba joints in the area.

You can go to their store in the East Village on 10th street, between first and second avenue. Or, you can go to one of their stores in Flushing like the one on 37-14 Main Street.

Here is their facebook page.

Friends

Many of my blog posts are inspired by friends, some places I blog about were mentioned by friends or some places were visited with friends. At this point, most of my readers are my friends and I consider myself very lucky to have such lovely people who support me.

So... I wanted to ask friends, bloggers, and any random people who read the blog a question:

How do you live a life of thrifty glamour? What are some of your favorite spots and tips for saving a buck while enjoying a fab life? I will certainly try to visit some of the places you suggest or try out some of your advice!

Thank you! I really appreciate everything that everyone has done for me.

Neutral Kurt Geiger Shoes

Last week, I walked into the subway station and immediately stopped when I saw this girl wearing a structured red dress with super fly sneakers that were shiny beige with a black patent leather toe. Normally I'm a little bit shy, but I had to ask her where she got her kicks. To my surprise, she answered "KG" in a British accent and told me to go to the Kurt Geiger store in London where they sell affordable, stunning shoes. She said they are much better than shoes from Aldo and that people always assumed her sneakers were designer. After looking through the website, I'm even more excited for London!!!
