Falling into Fall

So I guess I really am a senior in college since I spent a whole two hour lecture making this collage on Polyvore. I can't help myself from daydreaming about dark brown leather jackets, motorcycle boots, delicate menswear inspired chiffon tops, edgy ombre bottoms and pretty accessories... I'm a terrible role model. Anyway, hope you enjoy the results of my slacker ways!

To Buy or Not to Buy?

I've been staring at these Sam Edelman flats for the past couple days wondering if I should buy them. They are definitely not cheap, but the number one fashion item I will spend money on is shoes. I want to get a new pair of flats if I want to look professional and all that. I'm worried that the black will make my feet look ghostly pale though. Maybe I should hunt for a brown pair instead. What do you think?

Polka Dot Dot Dot

Ello loves, so I have to apologize for not blogging for almost a month. Yikes! I know. But, I do have a legit excuse. My computer crashed in China and I've been lugging it around to every apple store in Shanghai in Manhattan to get in fixed. Finally it will be fixed tomorrow so I can upload my next roll of Nom Noms.

In other news, I found this chambray polka dot shirt on the forever21 site but I couldn't find it today in the store. Tragic... $6 shipping is not worth it for one shirt. It is the perfect denim shirt with the quirky little polka dots and classic light blue denim color. I hate the pearly buttons on all the Western-style denim shirts that are trendy right now. Wish me luck in finding it in another location!

Pretty looks from ASOS

Here are some hot summer items from British brand ASOS.com. Free shipping on everything for those in the US and UK! However, I have read that some of their things are good quality and some are not, so just be aware of that if you make an order.

ModCloth

In my last post, I wrote about Lulus.com and how it has a number of the same items as ModCloth.com for cheaper prices. ModCloth, however, still has a better selection of brands and items, probably because they are more popular. Below are some cute items I found on the famous website- I mean, there is a good reason why it is so well-known. As you can see, I've very into girly shorts and loose harem style pants lately. I also really loved this dress and simply had to post it even though it doesn't fit with the theme of bottoms.

Lulus.com

I've been browsing the websites ModCloth.com (I'm sure you've visited or perhaps purchased from this website) and the less popular site called Lulus. The funny thing is both websites stock a number of the same items but sometimes Lulus has items on Modcloth for a couple dollars less. It's pretty funny to me that Modcloth can add $5 more to a dress just because they have more advertising.

Free People

The other day my friend Shamira and I went to the Free People store near Union Square. To my delight, they were having SALES. I happily purchased a sequined vest (I will try to post pictures later) that was $70 but on sale for $30. Yay! Sequins have been so in over the past couple of seasons and I think my new vest will really dress up a plain black tank. Who doesn't need a little sparkle in their life? Shamira bought a lovely sweater with a beautiful lace crocheted back that was also about half off.

Swirl By Daily Candy

The online website for daily deals, Daily Candy, has a sister site for fashion, Swirl is having a sale on American Apparel items today. Dresses and skirts worth $36- $42 are going for $15- $20, hoodies are going for $19 and sweat pants for $16.

Save Money

On books and electronics by going onto www.amazon.com for old or used items. I saved money last semester purchasing used books on Amazon. You can buy a lot of used books in good condition, its just a matter of choosing the item carefully after reading descriptions.

I bought two chargers for a very old i-pod model on Amazon for close to nothing. Both chargers work beautifully, and would have cost a lot more if I bought them in a store. I also bought a charger for my Mac book which works.
